SPED 3030

The Education of Persons with Learning Disabilities

This course will provide an intensive study of background information and current perspectives in specific learning disabilities. Concepts of neurological dysfunction, dyslexia, perceptual impairments, etc., are reviewed from an interdisciplinary perspective. Emphasis on knowledge, comprehension, and evaluation of these concepts as they apply to education and behavior management strategies. Considerations in diagnosis and educational programming are developed.
