CHEM 3510

Physical Chemistry I

A moderately rigorous introduction to quantum chemistry covering symmetry, bonding, molecular spectroscopy and statistical mechanics to set a stage for the molecular treatment of thermodynamics and kinetics in CHEM 3520. Lectures are reinforced by a systematic set of modern spectroscopy laboratory experiments.
