This course provides an introduction to the health inequities in the United States that stem from unequal living and health conditions. Students will explore how education, socioeconomic status, racism and gender shape health epidemics and policy development. The course will provide the basic skills necessary for advocating for health and social justice, as well as provide the theoretical concepts on health disparities and the relationship with social justice.C-ID: PHS102
