Environmental, Health, and Safety Law and Administration

Overview of the state and local regulatory landscape and concepts involved in environmental, health, and safety law and administration. The legal framework for California policy and law will be evaluated from the California constitution through the local ordinance level with analysis of the inter-agency relationships along federal, state, and local jurisdictions. The course includes critical thinking regarding the regulatory landscape along topical lines including air, water, employment, the environment, and hazardous materials, and how such policies effect industry, commerce, and the community at large.
