Topics include roles and responsibilities of the PIO, incident information operations, developing a communications strategy, effective media relations, assistant information officer tasks and assignments, effective community relations, special situations, creating a safe environment, transition and demobilization. Meets National Wildfire Coordinating Group/California State Fire Marshal/FEMA curriculum criteria.
