Hazardous Materials Technician/Specialist 1B: Applied Chemistry
This course will review the basic terminology and theory of chemistry as it relates to hazardous materials incident management. Additional new content to include: hazard and risk management; behavior and effect of toxicant and the major biological systems affected by toxicant; as well as using monitoring equipment to detect hazardous atmospheres and unknown solids and liquids. Applies to Hazardous Materials Technician/Specialist I certification.
