This course provides students with a basic knowledge of the roles andresponsibilities of a Fire Inspector I including legal responsibilities andauthority, codes and standards, the inspection process, confidentiality andprivacy requirements, and ethical conduct, and administrative tasks includingpreparing inspection reports, recognizing the need for a permit or planreview, investigating common complaints, and participating in legalproceedings.
