Interpreting I

This course will provide students with the cognitive and practical skills necessary for interpreting between American Sign Language and English. This will include discourse analysis of the source and target language. Students will develop the steps necessary to effectively produce an equivalent target language message through translation, consecutive interpreting, and peer collaboration. This course will help students develop a stronger foundation in features of ASL.
