Basic Arithmetic & Pre Algebra

This course offers an accelerated, intensive option for preparation for Elementary Algebra. The material covered is equivalent to that covered separately in ACDV B77 (Basic Arithmetic) and Math B50 (Prealgebra). Reviews basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, integers, decimals, fractions, and also includes percent, measurement, and reading tables. Includes real life applications emphasizing estimation and word problems. To prepare for algebra, factoring, exponents, solving simple equations, introduction to plane geometry, averages, ratios, rates, and proportions are included.
