Advanced Practice III: Working with Organizations and Multi-Level Work with Complex Cases

The course focuses on theories, knowledge and skills needed in working with organizations in the areas of creating change, conducting agency assessments, networking, leadership, strategic planning, project development and management, team building, meeting management, budgeting and finances, fundraising and grant writing, marketing, and interfacing with the media, with a special emphasis on working with groups and organizations that work on behalf of oppressed populations. The last weeks in the course focus on reinforcing and integrating skills from all three practice courses through case-based study conceptualizing practice issues/interventions on macro, mezzo, and micro levels simultaneously
