Reasoning and Decision-Making

How do people make decisions that impact their lives and the world? This course is an introduction to reasoning and decision science, including psychological, economic, ethical and political perspectives on decision-making. Students will explore decision-making in everyday life, politics, the economy, medicine, sports and the environment, with an emphasis on sustainability issues and social outcomes. This is an active, collaborative learning course with group discussions and problem-solving, as well as brief lectures. This course is relevant to students interested in all social sciences, business management, behavioral economics, health care, sustainability, political science, public health and policy, and law
