Community Organizing and Health Policy Advocacy
This seminar-structured course provides a review of the extent and nature of community health problems requiring community-based solutions, as opposed to solutions for individuals. Included in the course will be concepts of community organizing, empowerment and processes of policy advocacy and formation. The course will develop practitioner competencies as well as an agenda for addressing the problem
