Introduction to Health Systems

This course will provide an introduction to the health sector as it currently operates in the US. A systems-theory based approach, informed by complexity theory, will be used to present health systems as complex adaptive networks. Through a review of the history of the health sector the student will learn how the industry has evolved (adapted) to where it is today, and where it may be going in the future
