This course explores a variety of philosophical questions as discussed in work by Indian, Chinese, and Japanese philosophers (as well as their commentators), including: What is real, what is the nature of things, and what is the self?; How do we know what we know?; What is right, and what is wrong?; What is human nature like, and how fixed is it?; How should we live, especially in light of human morality?
