Interpreting in Specialized Settings I

This course provides an overview of a variety of interpreted settings such as: medical, educational, community-based, VRS, platform, etc. Students will identify features that occur with in various settings utilizing different theoretical frameworks, including the 11Ps and Demand-Control Schema. In addition to setting analysis and discussion of key features, students will learn and apply specialized vocabulary and concepts for each setting through interpreted assignments and role-playing situations
