Every other year. Mathematical theory of statistics. Parametric inference: discrete and continuous distributions, methods of parameter estimation, confidence intervals. Note:This course assumes that students have the equivalent of undergraduate-level coursework in linear algebra (e.g. MATH 3191) and statistics (MATH 5320).
