Theory of Numbers

Every other year. Topics include divisibility, prime numbers, congruencies, number theoretic functions, quadratic reciprocity, and special diophantine equations, with applications in engineering. Note: Students who have a grade of B- or better in MATH 3000 pass this course at a much higher rate. Cross-listed with MATH 5110. Term offered: spring.
