ANTH 6317

Archaeological Research Design and Analysis

Examines the methods and techniques used in archaeology, including theory-building, hypothesis testing and middle range theory. Core materials emphasize the learning and critique of basic archaeological assumptions and the methods and theories used to scrutinize the collection and interpretation of data. Topics include chronometric applications and paleo-environmental reconstruction. Note: this course assumes that students have completed ANTH 6307 or equivalent
