Advanced Seminar in Career and Life Planning

The purpose of this course is to cover theory, research, and practice in the field of career counseling. The course will provide an in-depth review of career development theories, vocational assessment, occupational information, decision-making counseling, womens career development, and vocational issues of people of color, as well as current theory, practice supervision and research in career counseling. Students are expected to enter the course conversant with the major theories of career development. This is an advanced seminar emphasizing theory and research
