Group Counseling

This course is designed to provide the student with both a theoretical and an experiential approach to group counseling dynamics and processes including therapeutic factors and group effectiveness, characteristics and functions of group leaders, recruiting, screening, and selecting group members, group settings and types of groups, ethical and cultural strategies for designing and facilitating groups, and a minimum of 10 clock hours of participation in a small group activity.
