Making History Public

This course introduces students collaborate to research, plan, and producing a museum exhibit about Springfield Colleges history based on research in the Springfield College Archives and Special Collections. Students select the archival materials to be exhibited, prepare captions and other explanatory materials for the museum exhibit, and consider how best to display the results of their archival research. Topics vary by semester and include: Springfield College and World War I; Springfield College and the Origins of Womens College Athletics; Springfield College and the Student Movements of the 1960s; and Springfield College: An Environmental History
