This course provides students with as understanding of the ethical dilemmas faced by journalists. Topics include: fairness and accuracy, conflicts of interest, the right to privacy, the use of confidential sources, the use of deception to uncover truth, the role of public figures, the responsible coverage of tragedy, source/reported relationships, and the conflict between getting it first and getting it right
