Prealgebra and Algebra for Statistics Part II

This is the second part of a two-course sequence preparing students for a course in Elementary Statistics. This course covers polynomial factoring, rational expressions and equations, radical expressions and equations, the algebra of functions, graphs of elementary functions, modelling with functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, systems of equations in three variables, solving quadratic equations, and summation notation. This course is only intended as preparation for STAT 300 and MATH 300. (Competency: Mathematics)
