CHEM 305

Introduction to Chemistry

This is course presents the fundamental principles of chemistry including types of matter, physical and chemical processes, chemical bonds, atomic and molecular structure, nuclear chemistry, stoichiometry, states of matter, intermolecular forces, solutions, types of chemical reactions, acids and bases, equilibrium, and a brief introduction to organic chemistry. It is primarily designed for majors in the allied health fields (nursing, dental hygiene, physical therapy, etc.), natural resources, environmental technology, and physical education. Online homework assignments may be required.
