Introduction to Correctional Services

This course provides an overview of both the adult and juvenile correc- tions systems in the United States. The topics in this course include a focus on the legal issues, specific laws, and general operation of correctional institutions, and an introduction to probation and parole supervision. The relationship between corrections and other compo- nents of the criminal justice system is also examined. (C-ID AJ 200)
