Second Language Acquisition and Cross-Cultural Communication

This course provides an introduction to the analysis and classroom application of linguistic theories in the field of second language acquisition for LEP (Limited English Proficient) students. This course also provides an overview of topics related to cross-cultural communication by introducing students to the cultures of different groups found in Florida. Students develop awareness and understanding of the complexities surrounding language, culture, and learning in order to meet the needs of linguistically and culturally diverse learners.
