Healthcare Management Competencies

This course explores, simulates, and applies the five core competencies established by the American College of Healthcare Executives as necessary for a healthcare manager to function at an optimal level. The competencies include Communication and Relationship Management, Leadership, Professionalism, Knowledge of the Healthcare Environment, and Business Skills and Knowledge. As a major outcome of this course, each student develops a portfolio of work that assists in advancement toward accomplishing career development goals.
