This course provides an introduction to live sound mixing directed toward employment in the sound reinforcement industry and in operating sound systems in music clubs, theaters, churches, music festivals, and other venues. Students will develop competency in operating mixing consoles, speaker and monitor placement, microphone placement techniques, room equalization, reverb, delay, and other effects (gate/compressor/limiters etc.). Students will learn practical techniques for creating optimal concert sound. (C-ID CMUS 120X)
