Mathematical Discovery

This course is designed to enhance students' understanding of mathematics by involving them in the mathematical process of exploration, conjecture, and proof. Students will explore mathematical patterns and relations, formulate conjectures, and prove their conjectures. Areas of mathematics from which content may be derived include number theory, statistics, probability, geometry, and sequences and series. This course is recommended for students interested in a career in education. (Competency: Mathematics)
