This introductory course presents an interdisciplinary approach to the study of human movement. An overview of the importance of the sub-disciplines in kinesiology, including sport history, philosophy, pedagogy, sociology, and psychology will be discussed. The student will be introduced to career opportunities in the areas of teaching, coaching, athletic training, fitness, sport management, research, health, and recreation. Students taking the online or hybrid versions of the course will need access to a computer, the internet, and word processing software. This course was formerly known as PET 300. This course is not open to those that have received credit for PET 300. (C-ID KIN 100)
