Group communication is pervasive in all academic, professional, and social environments. This course is designed to increase students understanding of group communication and to prepare students to function more effectively in various types of groups. Students will learn about the dynamics of group roles, the multiple functions of groups, leadership styles, conflict management, problem-solving, and decision-making. Individual and group presentations are required. Videorecording equipment may be used as an aid to the students self-analysis and improvement. Access to a computer with online capabilities may be required and computer access is available on campus. (C-ID COMM 140)
