Networking Technologies

This course provides a comprehensive survey of local and wide area networks, technologies, protocols, and connectivity. Topics covered include network topologies, the Open Systems Interconnection seven-layer model for communication, communication protocols and standards, access methods, and data translation and transmission equipment and media. This course is intended to prepare students for programming and system administration activities as well as the CompTIA Network+ certification exam. (C-ID ITIS 150)
