Fundamentals of Human Nutrition

An exploration of the physiological basis of nutritional needs and physical and socioeconomic parameters, which affect dietary adequacy. Nutrient functions, energy balance, complementary and alternative medicine, and sports nutrition will be examined. Designed for students who will be applying nutrition principles as part of health, wellness, or therapeutic counseling. Fall/Spring
