The Cult Controversy

This course explores the phenomenon of "New Religious Movements," sometimes called "cults." It is also a WAC course, and as such it includes instruction in the nature and purpose of research in the field of comparative religion. Students are required to produce a research paper of 2,500 words, in addition to several other writing assignments, spread throughout the semester.
