NUR 851

Leadership for Systems Change and Innovation

This course prepares the DNP student to analyze organizational and system theories and research for application in leading change and innovation in complex systems. Effective leadership behaviors and relationship management competencies that are critical to leading organizational change are examined from personal, organizational and societal perspectives. Leadership is explored in the domains of health service, research, education, informatics, genetics and genomics and public policy. Core competencies and strategies for leadership effectiveness are examined and evaluated.
