MTH 117

Mathematical Applications in the Real World

This course continues the development of quantitative reasoning skills as started in MTH 116. Topics in this course include the mathematics used in voting, including weighted voting systems; mathematics of touring (The Traveling Salesman Problem); as well as the mathematics of networks and scheduling. This course is for students not planning to major in a field requiring advanced mathematical skills.
