Independent Study in Health Sciences

This course is not available to students outside of the School of Health Sciences. Prior to enrollment, proposals must be submitted to and approved by a sponsoring member of the School of Health Sciences faculty. Approval is also required from the School of Health Sciences Director or Program Director. The independent study will allow the student to work with faculty (or delegate) on a research project or health-related program. Deliverables/scope of work will vary as determined by faculty sponsor but may include a final written report, suitable for presentation at a regional meeting/conference and/or publication in a professional journal. Other products may include, weekly update reports, data collection and analysis, presentations, etc. and will be defined during the application and approval process. The Independent Study Approval Form can be found on the Health Sciences website, in the Health Sciences program office or in your major advisor's office. The approval form must be completed prior to seeking permission to enroll in the course.
