COM 430

Digital Content Production

This three-credit capstone course focuses on the aesthetic and technical production of digital content for a variety of applications using web-based software and the Adobe Creative Suite. Students will apply skills used in previous classes to create engaging digital content for the promotion of products and services, image building, crisis communication and campaigns for public issues and public affairs. Course topics include aesthetics of digital content, graphic and web design, audio and video creation and social media. In designing and putting together the content students will be expected to follow ethical practices advocated by Society of Professional Journalists and Public Relations Society of America. Expect to work on class assignments individually and in groups as well.
