Dysphagia

Study of the nature, assessment, and treatment of swallowing disorders in adults and children. Topics include the anatomy and physiology of the normal and abnormal swallow, followed by descriptions of specific disorders that may affect each stage of the swallow. Information on normal and abnormal swallows will be integrated to provide the student with the basic entry level knowledge and skills needed to assess and implement a treatment plan for adult/pediatric patients with dysphagia
