A general introduction to speech-language pathology and audiology. These rapidly growing interdisciplinary professions are devoted to helping individuals manage or overcome communication challenges. Communication is a God-given gift that allows us to be social beings. When people have difficulty communicating, it affects almost all aspects of their lives. Students will gain a general understanding of prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation issues for persons with speech, language, and hearing disorders in clinical and educational settings
