Ethnography

This course introduces students to a sociological perspective on everyday social settings by applying methods of systematic, qualitative observation. Training includes ethnographic research methodologies designed to equip students to collect and analyze data. Topics include issues of access, rapport, participant observation, field notes, ethics, interviewing, coding, and analysis
