Theory and Philosophy of Therapeutic Recreation

Core capstone course. This seminar course reviews the theories and philosophies of work, play, and leisure and their influence on contemporary culture. Discussions on selected readings help develop an understanding of the political, sociological, psychological, economic, and theological aspects of work, play, and leisure in contemporary society. Emphasis is placed on the development of a Reformed Christian perspective and its implications for personal life and professional practice
