Advanced Quantum Physics Laboratory

Students perform multi-week experimental investigations related to the quantum nature of matter and light. Possible topics include laser spectroscopy of atomic energy states, the Zeeman effect, electron diffraction, measurement of the muon lifetime, magnetic resonance, the Compton effect, nuclear radiation, and quantum entanglement. Concurrent enrollment in PHYS 376 or permission of instructor is required
