Rock Climbing I

This course offers students an introduction to basic rock climbing skills. The objective of this course is to provide students with the opportunity to examine, practice, and demonstrate individual proficiency in climbing safety, essential knots, basic top-rope systems, climbing technique, belay systems and techniques, introductory top-rope anchor construction, climbing site safety, and route selection.
