Advanced Roles in Nursing

This seminar will explore the various graduate school options within the discipline of nursing with a specific focus on nursing research and advanced practice. It will investigate the process of graduate education from application to the acquisition of a position following graduate school. Graduate education, national priorities for nursing research, translational research, and evidence based practice will be explored in light of health care reform. The seminar will approach graduate education as means to prepare for lifelong Christian service in Gods world. This course is an elective in the Department of Nursing and will be offered once each academic year
