Practicum: Community Focused Nursing and Leadership/Management

This course will afford students the opportunity to partner with communities as well as interdisciplinary groups of health care providers for the purpose of promoting and protecting health. Partnerships with communities offer opportunities for the student to assist the community to develop the best health care possible for diverse cultural groups. Partnerships with interdisciplinary staff members allow for principles of management and leadership to be integrated into nursing practice. This course satisfies cross-cultural engagement core
