Physiology of Physical Activity

A study of physical efficiency and physiological principles involved in human exercise. Emphasis will be placed on the responses of the respiratory, cardiovascular, and muscular systems. The course includes the physiology of factors affecting performance such as the environment and the use of tobacco, alcohol, and drugs. The laboratory will help students apply principles and techniques used in assessment of physiological responses to exercise
