Human Resource Management

An introduction to human resource functions along with principles and issues involved in managing an organizations human capital. Emphasis is placed on the modern day importance of human resource management and focuses on the formulation and implementation of strategies that help companies achieve a sustained competitive advantage. Emphasis is also placed on respect, integrity and the inherit dignity of human beings and how business can create opportunities for individuals to express their vocation in the performance of God-glorifying work. The course will introduce a framework for integrated talent management and will include the study of talent acquisition, compensation and rewards management, organized labor, career succession, performance management, learning management and leadership development, employee engagement and retention, and redeployment
