Sustainability Challenges

Sustainability involves meetings the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. This course examines the challenges to achieving sustainability in three arenas: economic, social, and environmental. Topics include global energy usage, personal carbon footprint, world population, and climate change. The trade-offs among biblical principles related to sustainability (stewardship, justice, and the cultural mandate) are examined
