Integrative Seminar: Intellectual Foundations of Education

In this course students examine education in its context as a life practice. It involves inquiry into and critique of the philosophical assumptions, historical developments, and social settings that shape the beliefs and practices informing schools as social institutions and education as cultural practice. Throughout the course, students are completing their own faith-based philosophy of education
